Hot peppers are higher in calories than sweet peppers, but are low calorie foods. Both are low fat and contain no cholesterol. Hot peppers are extremely high in vitamins A and C, and also provide B6, folacin and iron. Sweet peppers are very high in vitamins A and C — just not as high as the hot ones. Sweet peppers also contain B6 and folacin, but not iron.
