Big blue-gray leaves form a symmetrical rosette, with each rounded leaf terminating in a dark, sharp spike. This Durango, Mexico native prefers full sun and must be grown in well-drained soil. In perfect, well drained locations it can survive outdoors in zone 6, but also makes a fabulous container succulent. Grows to 18" x 18".

It is easy to grow and maintain, and makes a great choice for miniature pots as well. Plants grow only 6-8" high, sometimes less, and can cascade over container edges in large pots and hanging baskets. This plant isn't picky, and won't rot if you accidentally over water it.
