Acorus calamus (variegated sweet flag)
4.5" pot available for only: $5.00

Chartruese and green stripes dense, grassy 12" clumps make a bright accent or groundcover at water's edge or in poorly draining areas, but will also tolerate drier soil in shade. This North American native plant's roots were used by Native Americans and later pioneers as a candy.
Acorus gramineus 'Ogon' (Japanese rush)
4.5" pot available for only: $5.00

Green and white stripes on grassy 12" tall foliage make a bright contrast at water's edge or in shade gardens. This small grassy foliage plant also makes a nice container specimen. Excellent plant for water's edge, but will also tolerate drier soil in shade.
Blue Arrows Rush (Juncus inflexus)
4.5" pot available for only: $8.00

Strong, upright habit with thick, blue-green blades tolerates full sun and drought, as well as marginal aquatic and poorly drained sites. Excellent foliage contrast plant. Grows to 3' tall.
Corkscrew Rush (Juncus effusus 'Spiralis')
4.5" pot available for only: $5.00

Round blades curl as they grow, reaching 12-18" tall and wide. Interesting foliage for containers, but also a hardy bog-loving perennial. Can be wintered indoors when kept adequately moist and in a sunny window. Also a great plant for water gardens and poorly draining locations as a landscape plant.
Equisetum hyemale (horsetail)
4.5" pot available for only: $8.00

Hollow, segmented, tubular stems grow to 4' tall and grow in dry soils to wet, marginal pond conditions. An ancient native plant, limestone fossils are easy to find in local rock. Makes a great Japanese style garden subject, but spreads rampantly. Plant in contained areas, or in places where its spread won't overcome other plantings. Excellent greenery in cut flower arrangements. Super-cool container specimen plant all by itself.
Houttuynia cordata 'Chameleon'
4.5" pot available for only: $5.00

This attractive Korean groundcover has beautiful heart-shaped foliage of bright green, white and pink. Easy to grow, this plant flowers in summer with small white star-shaped blooms. We use it in containers, as well as garden beds. It's drought tolerant, but also grows in water! Plants grow 12-15" tall and spread like groundcover.
Iris pseudocarpus (yellow flag)
4.5" pot available for only: $5.00

Clear yellow blooms on this hardy, water tolerant iris.
