Vinland Valley Nursery is a retail and wholesale nursery and garden center located in the beautiful Vinland Valley area just south of Lawrence, Kansas. We grow a wide variety of fine quality plants using sustainable, wildlife friendly methods. We love great design at every level, from the largest gardens to small individual containers.
We are currently seeking skilled and knowledgeable people to assist with greenhouse growing for spring 2011. Experience in the industry is helpful but not mandatory. Excellent customer service skills are a must, and folks experienced in production work of any kind will be given preference.
Entry level duties include the ability to quickly and efficiently plant seed/plugs, properly tag all plant material, identify and follow cultural requirements of all plants at various stages of growth. Also using tractor for moving plant material around the nursery, as well as loading customer vehicles with mulch and bulk products.

• strong plant identification and understanding of cultural needs
• gardening experience with an emphasis on design
• able to operate a tractor, or willingness to learn
• sales experience
• production experience

Compensation: depends on experience
