Beautiful dark burgundy plants grow 3-4' tall. When the stems get too tall, simply cut the top rosette and stick it in the dirt to start another plant. The original plant that has been pruned will regrow new buds. In ideal conditions, large yellow flower spikes will emerge. Great in containers alone or with other succulents.

Big blue-gray leaves form a symmetrical rosette, with each rounded leaf terminating in a dark, sharp spike. This Durango, Mexico native prefers full sun and must be grown in well-drained soil. In perfect, well drained locations it can survive outdoors in zone 6, but also makes a fabulous container succulent. Grows to 18" x 18".

A non-hardy banana tree for patios during summer and wintering indoors. This cultivar's foliage is tinged in burgundy, and leaves grow 12-18" wide and 3-4' long, with the plants growing 6-8' tall in a whiskey barrel. They are quite a sight! We have two by the childrens' play area, and kids think they're totally cool.
