This Venus Fly Trap has deep green leaves, and the hairs along the edge of the trap are fused, creating small triangles. Winter and early summer leaves are 3 to 6 inches long, with traps 1 to 1 1/4 inches long. 3 to 10 white flowers appear in early to midsummer. A great terrarium plant, it can be used alone or with other carnivorous plants, ferns and tropicals.

This tall, upright pitcher plant has a ruffled hood covering most of the pitcher opening, with dark red veins and pink shades. This variety is unique because the red coloration shows year-round.
