Plants
marked with this button are native to the central prairie region,
and are therefore usually easier to grow successfully. They are
also usually of more value to wildlife for food and shelter,
and because they're suited to our soil and moisture levels, they're
more environmentally friendly because they require less supplemental
water, fertilizer and other chemical helpers that other plants
often require to help them succeed.
