Welcome to the area's largest locally owned greenhouse and nursery.
You Should See This Place!

You can purchase pre-potted planters, or use ideas from examples in the 100' x 100' heated greenhouse to create your own vision. We've got great plant combos everywhere you look, and we like to use unusual containers to recycle and make interesting displays.

Nursery plants are aranged to inspire creative and unique combinations for your garden beds. Our knowledgeable staff can help you pull plants you prefer to try different designs you can take home. We'll make sure the layout you choose will work in your site, and help you figure out proper spacing and planting schemes.

Carefully marked display beds let you see our plants as they will look growing in your landscape.
Four 25' x 100' cold frames are brimming with perennials. Organized by plants for shade, natives, grasses and sun lovers, you'll find everything you're looking for and more alphabetically by botanical name. An additional seven greenhouses full of trees and shrubs, a balled & burlapped area and a 50' x 100' block of large shade trees display a huge array of woody landscape materials.

We've registered two display gardens with Monarch Watch. If you are interested in creating your own butterfly santuary, see our Butterfly Gardening page for info and links.

We have a playground, kids' potting bench, chickens, fairy house, coloring pages and Lewis & Clark Corps of Discovery scavenger hunt trail. We offer a kid's garden shop filled with kid-sized garden tools and other goodies to get your younguns out into the garden!

Pictured above is a 1970s aerial photograph of the property. From the 50s until the late 80s, the property was a working dairy farm. Notice the fantastic barn in front of the silo, which now sits at the front of our heated greenhouse. Each year, a handful of folks come to the nursery with stories of being a kid at the old place!

Located about 10 minutes south of Lawrence, KS, it's a short but wonderfully scenic drive to plant-lovers' paradise.
