Landscape Uses, Planting and Care
- Geraniums are a traditional plant grown in garden beds and containers across the country because they are reliable, low maintenance and beautiful. Plant in ordinary well-drained potting mix and resist the urge to fertilize, using an organic plant food no more than every 2 weeks to get the most bloom from your plants. Geraniums are succulents that will rot when over watered, so allow soil to dry between waterings. Deadhead spent flowers to promote flowering and keep a prettier looking plant.
