Description
 
These large growing deciduous shrubs are an heirloom garden staple! Growing 8-12' tall and 5-8' across, they can be pruned regularly to fit a smaller space. Large, showy blooms emerge in the heat of summer when spring bloomers have passed and fall plants have yet to begin their show. 'Ardens' produces a double flowering rose-purple bloom.
